Al momento sono da tradurre dall'inglese: Wikivoyage:Politica relativa al turismo sessuale, l'ultima parte di Aiuto:FAQ, Wikivoyage:Cosa vogliamo e cosa no, Wikivoyage:Associazione come forma ottimale del progetto e Wikivoyage:Wikivoyager. Se non ricordo male ho già importato tutte le pagine da tradurre per l'innaugurazione. Putroppo la maggior parte non è disponibile in inglese. Volevi qualche pagina particolare? Congratulation again and interwiki-links

Again, let me tell you how much I appreciate your and Airin's work on WV. You are great! You realy have done a great job and I'm convinced that WV/it will become a success. I have participated at two wiki openings: One on WT/de and one on WV. Both times it was like this: You work for week for the day X, and when it comes, you feel like laying back and relax - but for the public, things just have bagun. Now, it is important to get some more contributors to WV/it.

I have run a bot that has completed the interwiki links at Sunday evening. Now, all links from it: to de: should have got a reverse counterpart. It is still a proto type, but I'm working on improving it so that it can be run as a daily job. My idea is to make it half-intelligent. That would mean that human edits will have priority over the bot's idea of which articles need to have interwiki links. I hope I will get it ready next weekend. If ready, it would be enough to make one way links and the bot would recognize that it had to complete the reverse links.

Copyvio

How about this copyvio: http://viaggifree.webnode.com/products/nel-mar-dei-caraibi-lisola-di-aruba/ ? Do you think it's worth to complain about or even to block the images that are directly included from WV? I'm nor realy sure. As far as I see from the web server's log files, this site seems to be rather low frequented, thus it's about 10 images per day. Fine, I have read your mail. I'm running a (hopefuly) last test of a completely rewritten script that makes snapshots of WV in HTML format. If it realy works, maybe we could offer them our HTML dumps which include a proper author attribution (and many backlinks to WV ;-). The HTML dumps should work now. They are updated weekly and contain all attributions required by CC-by-sa. Maybe you should inform Viaggifree about this way to use our contents. Inkscape is the most advanced, free, general purpose SVG Tool. We also use it on the server for conversion of SVG into PNG, thus, every SVG drawing created with Inkscape should be understood by the server. But there is a limitation in fonts. This fonts will work:

We have some documentation on general: about maps, but unfortunately, some of the articles are still in German or only partly translated. See gen:Mapmaking_Project and what's linked from this article. Since you will need the google translator, anyway, you also could try to check out our German articles, linked from general: by interwiki links and specialy de:Portal:Karten.

My main work on maps was about making experimental scrips that process free raw data, but not drawing maps manualy. de:User:(WV-de) DerFussi or de:User:(WV-de) Der Reisende have more experience in this matter.

Maps from the free OpenStreetMap (OSM) project seem to turn out to become the most favourite ones, as far as I can estimate the future development. They procuce high quality maps in arbitrary scalings and provide them under a CC-by-sa license. Depending on the area, they have everything between light gray (saying no data at all) up to perfect maps. I have realised that the link to OSM had been missing on the Italian Wikivoyage:Fonte della mappa and have added it. It's worth to check OSM first, before starting to draw a map manualy.

Asian Regions

To prevent cross-linking we use at de and shared a modified subdivision of Asia, in particular Southwest Asia. Southwest Asia consists of Middle East and South Caucasus. Please check, if there are similar names in Italian. The problem is that Middle east does not contain the South Caucasian countries.

New templates

I added three templates which are also in use at de.

Related. It adds a related to the navigation bar. Wikivoyage does not work with rdf tags (it is not necessary). Examples:

Template:Coord DD to DMS. Conversion from decimal degree to degree, minutes and seconds. It should be used instead of Dez2Deg because the last one gives some times incorrect results (incorrect seconds). It is impossible to create a correct algorithm with Mediawiki mathmatics. {{Dez2Deg|51.999999|6.999999}} gives {{Dez2Deg|51.999999|6.999999}}, but it must give 62 (61 59 59.9) and 7 (6 59 59.9). {{Coord DD to DMS|51.999999}} gives {{Coord DD to DMS|51.999999}}.

Position Maps

Today I made a small extension to the template de:Vorlage:Lagekarte (by the way Lagekarte means postion map). This template should not used directly. I prepared some derived templates like:

I propose to have a separate templates for each region. You can create also a general template call using the switch directive. PositionMap contains only a switching command like

Bugs with version 1.13

Yesterday Hansm made a version upgrade. Unfortunately there are some new bugs. You found two of them today. the best is to write them to tech:MW_version_update_1.13.1_bugs. Hansm will work on finding solutions.

Non sono molto convinta che quell'articolo possa influenzare tanto la posizione su Google. Prova a cercare "Finlandia guida" o "Spagna guida turistica" o "Slovenia guida turistica" e vedrai che siamo nella prima pagina nonostante l'articolo... Il Rank è determinato da diverse cose tra cui la densità delle parole chiavi nella pagina (per questo motivo sostituisco sempre il PAGENAME con il nome della destinazione); dai titoli della pagina; da quando siamo presenti in rete (i siti più vecchi vengono quasi sempre prima di noi); dai siti in cui si trova il link al nostro sito (più alto è il loro rank meglio sarà il nostro), dal numero di edit e visitatori etc... Template:QuickbarCity and position map

I have modified Template:QuickbarCity in order to display a position map by default whenever possible. I'm not so sure what's the difference between "piantina" and "Posizione nella mappa", so I have left "piantina" untouched.

I have thrown out the obsoltete parameter PositionMap. Instead, I have added a new paramterer "Posizione" which usualy needs not to be set. If you set a value for it, this will become the label on the position map.

You should keep the location database up to date when creating new articles, otherwise these features won't work. The bread crumb navi or the display of geografical coordinates either.

Hierarchy of Turkey

On de:, there has been a long discussion about how to split up Turky into subregions. Since we use the location DB with the aim of a common hierary tree for all (currently both) language versions, questions like this can not be decided on a single language version any more. I have proposed to delegate this task to a group of insiders of all language versions. You have written many of the Turkisch articles on it:. On de:, (WV-de) User:Elelicht has been active on Turkish articels. Even (WV-de) User:Der Reisende can be regarded as an insider. Unger has done the hierarchy on shared:. So I wanted to ask each of you four if you feel able to find a common hierarchy within the next weeks. Tematiche

Ciao, ho visto che con il nuovo sistema non funzionavano più gli IsIn e collegamenti interlingua di alcune tematiche, tra cui tutti i frasari. Prima la pagina si chiamava per es. Frasario inglese mentre ora la rinomino in Tematica:Frasario inglese in modo che automaticamente funziona tutto come prima e uniformiamo le pagine con quelle di DE. Ok? Secondo me gli indici delle singole nazioni possono rimanere come sono in quanto è più una cosa pratica per noi... O forse tu pensavi di renderli diversi? Quasi un vero articolo? In questo caso sì, si può trasferirli nelle tematiche. Ho visto che hai fatto anche la quickbar per le città. Ottima idea. C'è solo una cosa che non mi piace tanto, cioè la larghezza della tabella. Ti ricordi che lo stesso discorso l'abbiamo fatto per le nazioni? Se controlli la quickbar delle nazioni vedrai che è leggermente meno larga, in modo che chi ha uno schermo non troppo grande riesce ad avere anche un po' del testo dell'articolo tra la tabella del menu e della quickbar. Ciao, ho spostato il testo nella sezione Usanze locali dove sicuramente è più adeguato. Al momento non riesco a scrivere altro testo sulle Faroe ma lo farò in futuro. Cmq la ritengo un'informazione utile, per quello ho modificato solo il tono del testo inserito. Per quanto riguarda gli IP anonimi io li bloccherei non definitivamente ma intanto per qualche ora/giorno. Ho dato un'occhiata agli itinerari di de. L'elenco lo trovi qui. Ho confrontato la loro mascherina con la tua Via Egnazia e non ho notato grosse differenze. Loro hanno in più la sezione Sicurezza, Letteratura e Collegamenti esterni, quindi mi sembra tutto ok. UNESCO

Io non ho problemi a visualizzarla, ma probabilmente, come dici tu, qualcuno potrebbe avere problemi. Però mi piaceva l'idea delle immagini in modo da vedere subito il monumento. Si potrebbe ripulire l'elenco dalle immagini ed eventualmente aprire delle nuove pagine divise per continente con le foto, tipo Patrimonio UNESCO in Europa, oppure aggiungere una nuova sezione Patrimonio UNESCO con immagini nei già esistenti articoli Europa, Asia etc. o nelle singole nazioni.
