TRANI[modifica]

Walking in the green[modifica]

A beautiful view from the park.

If you want to see something typically Apulian and enjoy the sea breeze, you can’t miss the “Villa Comunale” in Trani. It’s the biggest park in the city and it’s on a large terrace overlooking the sea, so you can surely enjoy it, better if in summer.

Its position allows you to see the beautiful view of the seafront up to the Monastery of Santa Maria di Colonna to the south, and – to the north – you can admire the harbour and the majestic Cathedral.

The area is full of palm trees, oaks and pines, and is embellished with flower beds, fountains and games for children, so you could spend a relaxing day with your family.

In the southern part there is an aquarium containing 18 tanks with about 500 fish of countless species from almost all lakes and rivers in the world, and along the avenue you will come across a 19th century chalet, home to exhibitions and cultural initiatives by local artists.

Therefore, you absolutely cannot miss a visit to this wonderful city, walking with an ice-cream in summer or a cappuccino in winter.
