Altamura isn't really a city known for shopping, but there are some shopping areas and streets where you can do shopping and buy anything you like. The place where you can shop in the stores is mostly in the city center, as for example in corso Federcio II di Svevia, where you can find many shoe shops, clothing stores etc. More than in shops, in Altamura you can buy from the market.The market is a place where, in this case on Saturdays, there are many stalls selling clothes, jewelry, shoes, kitchen utensils, household items and much more at quite low prices. There is another kind of smaller market that occurs almost everyday where you can buy flowers but mostly groceries such as fruits, vegetables, and even cold cuts.
