Nederlands: De Magdalenakerk werd opgericht in de 13de eeuw en in de 15de eeuw in gotische stijl heropgebouwd., Ze had te leiden onder het bombardement van 1695 en diende gerestaureerd te worden.De klokkentoren dateert uit 1697. In 1841 werd de Magdalenakerk toevertrouwd aan de Paters Redemptoristen die zich in België kwamen vestigen. In 1902 heeft de Staat de kerk en het klooster onteigend met het oog op de aanleg van de Noord-Zuidverbinding. Na de tweede wereldoorlog leek de kapel voor de sloop bestemd. Groot was dan ook ieders verrassing toen ze in 1957 uiteindelijk toch gered werd en architect Simon Brigode belast werd met de restauratie en het verbinden ervan met de gevel van de voormalige Sint-Annakapel in Brabantse barok, die dateert uit 1665.
